Voice Casting Not Working in YAPYAP

If your mic works elsewhere but voice casting won’t trigger, the issue is usually input selection, aggressive noise suppression, or unstable capture settings.

Case A — Improve recognition

• Keep distance/volume consistent (enunciation matters)
• Disable heavy suppression (Discord/NVIDIA Broadcast)
• Use 48k/44.1k sample rate
• Avoid speaker echo; prefer headphones
• Don’t overlap key incantations—take turns

Case B — Voice chat not transmitting

1. Steam → Friends & Chat → ⚙ → Voice
2. Select correct input
3. Confirm transmission type (PTT/Voice activation)
4. Verify PTT keybind

If it only fails in co-op, test with external voice to isolate network jitter.
